In the 1950s, a Japanese Antarctic scientific expedition team was stationed at a distant Showa base with 19 accompanying sled dogs.It was an icy world, with the wind and snow roaring, lonely and silent.They faced the severe cold and unknown of the polar regions with these loyal partners, and snuggled up to each other and moved forward together during the long winter night.
However, a year later, due to the extremely bad weather, the research team had to evacuate Antarctica urgently. The original plan was only a temporary separation, but they were forced to leave the dogs who had fought side by side on this white wasteland.When we were about to part, no one spoke, only the sound of the wind was filled with reluctance and helplessness, echoing in the ice and snow.
The following year, a new group of scientific expedition members returned to Showa Base.When people thought everything had been buried by the wind and snow, a miracle quietly came - a dog trainer who accompanied the team suddenly turned around in the familiar bark and saw two thin dogs with firm eyes slowly coming: they were brother dogs left behind - Taro and Jiro.
They live, with scarred bodies and unemployed trust, traveling through life and death and time, waiting for the person they are willing to wait for forever.At that moment, the world was silent, only ice and snow were proof of it.
